Top Tips

Aside from being a 5-star winter resort, Les Fermes de Marie is beautiful in the summer months too

5-Star X-Factors

5 acres of timeless luxury

Les Fermes de Marie

From luxury sojourns to chic wellness rituals, Les Fermes de Marie is an Alpine wonderland in the heart of Megève. This private hamlet of nine exceptional 19th century Alpine farmhouses is perfectly positioned, with a wealth of facilities and a first rate concierge service.

This hotel's history is set deeply woven into the story of the region, painstakingly rescued from its isolated location high in the French Alps and re-united with Megève. Les Fermes de Marie has been lovingly restored to its current glory by the owners of some of our favourite hotels in Provence: Villa Marie in Saint-Tropez and La Bastide de Marie in the Luberon.

Magical Megève

Megève is a charming, uncrowded, authentic Alpine ski resort set high in the mountains below Mont Blanc. The town has preserved its Savoyard heritage, remaining a traditional mountain village with a dash of chic and breathtaking views all year-round.

Under a thick layer of snow, the skiing in Megève appeals to beginners, intermediates and pros. Hundreds of kms of runs are available from the town with 80 integrated ski lifts spanning three areas. 175 snow cannons almost guarantees excellent skiing throughout the season.

In spring and summer, explore 150kms of hiking trails and enjoy the crisp, clean mountain air. Jazz, Blues and Dance Festivals are all part of Megève's warmer months' attractions.

5-star luxury in the mountains

Les Fermes de Marie offers authenticity and 5-star luxury. Traditional alpine farmhouses combine to create a luxury hamlet high in the mountains in the heart of Megève. The owners deconstructed these buildings piece by piece, rebuilding them to 5-star standards with every beam telling a story.

Wood, stone and thick fabrics create a dreamy cossetting combination, with an authentic mountain touch.

Rooms, suites and chalets all offer comfort and elegance, yet retain a rustic simplicity. Classic, Club and Prestige rooms offer different levels of accommodation, whilst Duplex rooms and Junior Suites offer extra space still. Sutes can accommodate up to 5 guests and the Chalets 4, 5 or 10 guests.

Mountain cuisine

Cuisine-wise you are spoilt for choice at Les Fermes de Marie, with 3 restaurants offering gastronomy inspired by the finest local produce: lake catches, local cheeses and the hotel's home-grown herbs.

Le Restaurant Traditionnnel in the heart of the main chalet offers an delightfiul combination of rustic and refined cusiine using local ingredients and  elegant flavours. Restaurant Alpin specialises in fondues. La Salle a Manger focuses on truffles and L'Alpage offers the ultimate in rustic-chic cuisine - dining in the fresh air or under the stars on a terrace besides a restored  cabin high up in the mountains.

An all-year-round destination

No matter the season, luxury beckons. This 5-star hotel is resplendent in winter where an inviting blanket of snow thrills skiers; autumn is a burst of colour with lush gardens to explore and spring and summers are gloriously sun-kissed. After a day out in the elements, step into Pure Altitude Spa with treatments based on natural essences from mountain pastures, or celebrate fine company and gourmet fare.
