Villa San Giacomo

Villa San Giacomo is dramatic in scale, a playground and palace all in one. Step through the stone portal and you are transported to an oasis of graceful indoor-outdoor living with the world at your feet; the picture perfect village of Positano below, the plunging cliffs of the Amalfi Coast towards Capri, and the undulating hypnotic expanse of glistening ocean to the horizon.

Villa San Giacomo sits above Positano close to the lovely Palazzo Santa Croce, both terracotta coloured palazzos, but VSG is the larger of the pair, sleeping 16-20.

With literally a handful of truly exceptional villas available for rental on the Amalfi Coast, Villa San Giacomo is one of the best and one of the largest, with 8 bedrooms sleeping 16-20 guests. As a result, high season availability is always limited, so booking this luxury villa early is a pre-requisite.

Villa San Giacomo makes the most of its privileged position above Positano, with numerous terraces to capture the truly stunning views. The pool and dining terraces are expansive and the sea-facing bedroom terraces are private and entrancing. Stairs lead to a lovely upper garden planted with olive, almond, lemon and mandarin trees.

With so much space to relax, this is a place to sit back and take in the views, while the private staff take care of your every whim. The villa is, of course, fully staffed with an excellent chef serving authentic southern Italian cuisine.

Bedrooms are quite beautiful, decorated in period style but with every modern amenity. Several have private terraces and all are finished with tiled floors, antiques, oil paintings and rich fabrics.
