It's close to charming, unspoiled hilltop villages with their markets, cafés and local life, yet within easy striking distance of the legendary fishing village of Saint-Tropez and all that the glamorous Riviera has to offer there, from shopping to the beaches and, of course, the nightlife.

For those wishing to explore Provence, the great cultural centres of Avignon, Aix and Arles are an easy day trip from the villa.

The property itself is the creation - and labour of love - of the grand-daughter of a great composer - and her inimitable charm, style and artistic flair for paintings, books, and objets d’art are evident throughout. There is a particularly impressive collection of sculptures in the house and garden, and an ample collection of books, some about or by friends of the owner and her family.  The estate backs onto a vast protected region of mountains and forests, ideal for marvellous hikes, walks and trekking.  The gardens are beautifully landscaped with romantic views either towards the sea or the hills, and the various terraces and shady areas around the house and pool offer delightful outside dining options.   

The house is low-key, elegant and extremely comfortable; clearly a well-loved family home. The rooms are charming, colourful and each one has a different style and personality. The owner has installed brand-new bathrooms and the beds are very comfortable with top-grade linen. Nights at the house are particularly beautiful, with romantic lighting outside and candles and soft lighting inside. Behind the house and scattered throughout the gardens is a collection of intimate and reflective sculptures as evidence of the villa's essential creative spirit.
