5-Star X-Factors

The scenery is simply breathtaking

Alladale Wilderness Reserve

The privately owned 23,000 acre Alladale Wilderness Reserve is a privately-owned 23,000 acre estate in the heart of the Highlands, just an hour and a bit north of Inverness. Lauded for its efforts to revitalise the Great Forest of Caledon by restoring native flora and fauna, the reserve is also renowned for its wildlife conservation and unforgettable views of dramatic glens. hills, rivers and acres and acres of trees.

Alladale caters for 'exclusive use' groups from 2 to 30 guests with all meals provided by a team of excellent chefs. The Lodge - a charming Victorian manor - offers a luxurious stay in this incredible setting, while 2 luxury cottages - Ghillie's Rest and Eagle's Crag - sleep 4 and 6 for smaller family groups. Deanich Lodge, one of the UK's most remote houses, sleeps up to 18.

The main Lodge is a Victorian manor house which sleeps up to 14 in 7 double bedrooms, where guests experience 5-star luxury, fine cuisine and outstanding personal service before toasting a grand Highland adventure and heading outdoors to enjoy trout fishing, mountain biking, shooting, guided walks and so much more. The fully-catered manor can be rented exclusively,

One of our clients from Hong Kong visited last year, staying at Eagle's Crag for a retreat week with friends, and loved the experience so much he is returning soon to 're-experience' Alladale. Like him, you can arrange a private chef to cook at the house, who will prepare Michelin-quality meals exactly to your liking with any allergies or preferences catered for.

If you’re planning a dream holiday in the Highlands with family or friends, Alladale Reserve ticks all the boxes with ease, especially for Christmas and New Year, but also beautiful in spring, summer and autumn.

Overview

Main Lodge

The main lodge at Alladale is perfect for all seasons. Set amongst rugged hills and Scotland's most northerly ancient pine forest, the main lodge is truly picturesque.

As the most luxurious of the four properties, the Lodge is the ideal retreat for larger groups looking to take in the stunning scenery and multitude of activities on offer at Alladale. Fully equipped with a commercial kitchen, the main lodge is fully catered and serviced, whilst also enjoying a gym and sauna and all the trimmings of a 5-star hotel. Perfect for the ultimate houseparty, there couldn't be a finer setting for a New Year's Eve gathering. A fully equipped meeting room means that combining business with pleasure is also an option.

Sleeps 14 in 7 double bedrooms with ensuite (6 can be made into twins)

Deanich Lodge

Open May to October, Deanich Lodge is the one of the most remote buildings in Scotland, located where the red deer gather and close to the golden eagle's nesting site, it is captivating. Wildly rustic, but with all the comforts you might require, this is the perfect setting for a retreat into nature or a complete escape from it all. Deanich Lodge accomodates up to 18 with full-board catering and 5-star service.

Eagle's Crag

Positioned in the cradle of Glen Alladale, with sound affects provided the rushing stream, Eagle's Crag is the perfect hideaway for a small group of friends. The property is usually self-catered, with a fridge-filling service provided, but a private chef with Michelin credentials can also be arranged. At Alladale wishes become commands. Eagle's Crag can sleep 8 in two ensuite double bedrooms each and a large attic family room sleeping 4, with seperate large shower and bathroom. Wifi, wide-screen TV and DVD player are included, as is a washing machine.

Ghillie's Rest

The ultimate Highland retreat to discover stillness and tranquility, is Ghillie's Rest, set in the midst of the stunning wilderness. A 'ghillie' is someone who teaches you to fish, so you can guess what some guests do here. Ghillie's Rest sleeps 4 in two double/twin rooms with a large wet room with bath, and a fully equipped galley kitchen. Wifi is obviously included.

Alladal Wilderness Reserve is the closest you will come to a luxury safari in the UK and is, we think, the best way to discover the true beauty of Nature's Highland blessings.
