Torre Beradasca

Perched imposingly on a hill above the little hamlet of Frontignano, Torre Beradasca enjoys panoramic 360˚ views of the beautiful rolling Umbrian countryside. With its mix of contemporary design and extraordinary heritage, this property certainly has the wow factor.

Approached through imposing gates and a winding drive, framed by cpyrus trees, this ancient tower has been converted into a luxurious 6 bedroom residence, arranged over 4 floors with an expansive 5th floor roof-top terrace. This terrace offers stunning 360˚ views of the Umbrian countryside, astonishing sunsets and moonlit stargazing. A lift makes ascending to the terrace easy, so memorable rooftop lunches, sundowners and dinners are an integral part of life at Il Torre.

In the gardens, the 15m salt water pool overlooks the rural countryside and is the perfect place to chill during the day. A private chapel offers a glimpse into the property's interesting history.

Perfect for larger groups of family or friends

Torre Beradasca provides excellent accommodation and entertaining for large families or groups of friends staying together. The vaulted dining room on the ground floor and 5th floor terrace offer different dining options, where Sylvia, the outstanding 'mama', cooks up wonderful Umbrian cuisine to order and even does the shopping.

A few minutes drive from the Torre lies the delightful hilltop town of Todi, overlooking the River Tiber. Here you will find plenty to see and then lunch at Oberdan in Via A. Ciuffelli, where you can enjoy excellent local cuisine on a lovely terrace under plain trees and pick fine wines from its reasonably priced enoteca. Todi is a beautiful little town which tends to make a big impression on all who visit. We loved it so much we named our latest puppy after it!

A little further afield you can explore Perugia, Assisi, Orvieto, Spoleto and small Umbrian towns. Of these, our favourite was the exquisite fortified town of Montefalco where its finest restaurant in the pretty square, Locanda del Teatro, is a must-visit for its excellent cuisine, friendly service and exceptional wine list, including the rare Sagrentino wines of Paolo Bea, whose winery is a few minutes from the town.

With shopping, cooking and maid service on hand every day, life at Torre Beradasca is as relaxing and regenerating as you could ever wish for, even when the whole family is together!
