Ca di Pesa’s heart beats with an authentic Italian rhythm, reflecting the owner’s passion, attention to detail and respect for the ‘terroir’. The first building built here is believed to have been completed one thousand years ago. With time, a settlement grew, creating a Medieval small village or ‘Borgo’ around a central courtyard. This tradition of expansion and growth has been continued with the current owners as they add to and improve the villa to ensure that visitors are able to have the best experience they can.

Nestled at the centre of the Ca Di Pesa wine estate, the villa offers plenty of space within and without and stunning views over the rolling Chianti landscape in all directions.  An intricate patch work of Conca d’Oro vineyards and olive groves, woodland and small Tuscan village are all vistas to marvel at from the sunset bench set just below the pool, or from the 18-seat pergola.

The villa is fully equipped for al fresco dining, with a large barbeque and open grill on the terrace and for those yearning for authentic pizza, the wood-fired ‘forno’ oven can be prepared during the afternoon in time for perfect pizzas for supper! Anna is a superb cook and will prepare Tuscan delights for guests under the pergola or in the candle-lit cantina, accompanied by the estate’s own Chianti Classico and Reserva wines.

There are ten beautiful bedrooms and 8 bathrooms accommodating up to 20 guests, with a vast master bedroom featuring separate sitting and dressing rooms for that x-factor.

Younger visitors are guaranteed to be entertained come rain or shine with the fresh-water pool, and on-site cinema, as well as their own designated ‘TV-room’ so there is no fights over which film to watch of an evening. The bocce pitch, a traditional Italian game similar to boules, and table tennis table, also allows for some friendly family competition. 

With the vineyard and on-site winery, it is difficult to stay at Ca di Pesa without being immersed in the world of wine. ‘House’ wine can be bought to be enjoyed during your stay, and winery tours and wine tastings in the cantina can be organised so you can leave with a deeper appreciation of the region’s produce.

Ca di Pesa has so much to offer: good food, excellent wine, entertainment for the children and serene surroundings to escape the everyday life. However, it is well situated for visiting local villages and towns, including nearby Panzano, Siena and the historic centre of Florence is less than an hour’s drive away. Other activities include cooking classes, visiting markets and guided tours can be organised with your concierge.

NOTES

Rates are inclusive of gas, electric, water and internet. Air conditioning for 7 of the bedrooms and the living room is also included. Housekeeping is complimentary from Monday to Saturday for up to 4/6hrs a day, dependant on the size of the party. Linen changes occur mid-week and weekly. The owners offer a welcome dinner (excluding wine) and a complimentary wine tasting for all house guests over 18yrs. All rentals are subject to signing. Initial 50% non-refundable rental charge taken on booking. Remaining cost and security deposit to be paid 90 days before arrival.
