Torre di Clavel

Torre di Clavel is an iconic 13th century stone fortress perched on a cliff, just outside the pretty fishing village of Positano. Here, the cliffs plunge into the crystal waters of the Amalfi Coast creating an ever-changing, dramatic backdrop. This unique residence spreads over multiple levels and is connected by open-air paths and hallways hewn from stone.

Occupying its own mini-peninsula, Torre di Clavel is ideally suited to those looking for a luxurious hideaway with staggering views and close proximity to the sea. 'Commuting' into Positano is most fun by water taxi from the private dock to the harbour, but there is also a footpath along the beach.

Spacious accommodation is split between the main Torre, the Porticato and Le Sirene with numerous walkways, corridors and staircases joining these historic buildings, creating a uniquely characterful property, but one that may not be suited to anyone unsteady on their feet or adventurous young children.

Surrounded by water on three sides, there are three stunning terraces for dining and lounging, making the most of the amazing views towards Positano, out to sea to the 3 little islands known as Le Sirenuse and further beyond to Capri. There is also a sunny and secluded beach, a few footsteps down into the adjacent cove.

The house is extremely well equipped for entertaining, with dining up to 14, an excellent chef and attentive maids, plus housekeeper and property manager.

From the private dock, we can arrange private cruises to enchanting destinations along the enchanting coast and further to Sorrento and Capri to the West, or East to Amalfi and Ravello.
