5-Star X-Factors

Stunning views over Florence

Il Salviatino

With unbelievable views over Florence, you'll be constantly pinching yourself during a stay at Il Salviatino. This perfectly hand-restored 15th century villa lies proudly on the hillside of Fiesole, yet its stunning location is far from its only charm.

Il Salviatino has picked up many admirers and Condé Nast Traveler named it the best hotel in Europe in 2014. The combination of beautiful classical architecture, 12.5 acres of soothing formal grounds, fantastic service and elegant decor and, of course, that view, has propelled this Florentine treasure into Europe's elite.

With Renaissance bones, Il Salviatino's classic architecture has been lovingly renovated with elegant contemporary design and serious attention to detail. The grand salons, once the haunt of Salvadior Dali and Gabriele Annunzio, are today again hosting creative thinkers while the vast terrace is the place to dine overlooking the historic rooftops and domes of Florence. The views here are spectacular, yet you are only 10 minutes from the centre of the city.

Sumptuous suites and rooms with a view

Rooms and suites are super stylish, each individually decorated to fuse the villa's past with local artisan craftsmanship and contemporary style. Our suite was vast and opulent, with staggering views through large wood framed windows, while the signature Ojetti Suite is a decadent combination of scarlet and tuscan green with velvet canopy over the huge emporer-style bed.

All the beds are dressed with handmade Tuscan linen, fabrics are fine and rich, while sofas are invariably soft leather. No expense is spared in any of the details and beautiful artworks are everywhere.

Alfresco dining

The restaurant "La Terraza" serves authentic contemporary Italian cuisine, celebrating simplicity and the freshest ingredients, much of it picked daily from the hotel's organic kitchen garden. Again, you are always aware of the views, which never disappoint and encourage lingering longer over a grappa or two.

A new poolhouse restaurant is planned, where guests can eat surrounded by Tuscan pines and in cooler months the stunning library hosts candlelit dinners in its famous salon.

Wellness

Il Salviatino's spa is being relaunched for summer 2021 with a new wellness tretreat offering, while the twin level swimming pool is the perfect spot to relax with incredible views of the city.

Il Salviatino is the answer if you are looking for a contemporary take on Florence, with space and views and the option to dip in and out of the city.
