Born in England, Sophie was brought up in South Africa from the age of five and travelled extensively throughout her childhood and teenage years. After reading English and Film at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, she moved back to London and went from stock broking to producing corporate films, where she discovered her love of globetrotting.

After a stint in advertising she settled down to produce several offspring, all of whom are ridiculously well travelled. As a result, Sophie is keen to share her passion for travel, poetry and keenly developed insights into the world of luxury hotels and exotic destinations.
