Michelin starred chefs cook up a feast - to fight hunger

Luxury Explorer is again supporting Action Against Hunger's Fine Wine Auction, with the aim of raising £200,000 to fight hunger and malnutrition.

Luxury Explorer, the online 'World Atlas of Luxury Travel' known for its cherry-picked collection of outstanding 5 star hotels, resorts and villas has once again teamed up with Action Against Hunger as sponsor's of their Fine Wine Auction & Dinner 2010, held this weekend at 1 Lombard Street, London EC1.

Pierre Koffman, Angela Hartnett, Fergus Henderson and Herbert Berger will be joining forces to create an elaborate and mouthwatering banquet which will be followed by the auction. Luxury Explorer is delighted to have, again, helped make the night happen by donating twelve exotic luxury lots to be auctioned on the night to raise funds for this great cause.

Peter Matthews, Luxury Explorer's Chairman, commented "We are delighted to support Action Against Hunger's Fine Wine Dinner and Auction for the second year running and would like to thank all our partners who have contributed for their support".

Seven of Luxury Explorer's partners have donated lots for the auction including: Aquapura Douro Valley, COMO Resorts and Hotels, Morgans Hotel Group, Mantis, Aleenta Resort & Spa, Casa Angelina and La Locanda delle Donne Monache. Other lots will include fine and rare wines from around the world. In 2009, Luxury Explorer's lots raised over £16,000 for Action Against Hunger.

Two lucky prize-winners from Luxury Explorer's Luxe-trotters' Club will be joining the Luxury Explorer table at the Fine Wine Auction & Dinner after winning a Club competition for a night in London and tickets to the event.

About Luxury Explorer

Luxury Explorer has curated a collection of, in its opinion, the finest hotels and resorts in the world, whether grand-luxe landmarks, such as Claridge's, Plaza Athenee or Hotel Cipriani; petit-luxe city centre boutiques, like by One Aldwych in London and Ca Sagredo in Venice; or distant, romantic hideaways epitomized by Amanresorts. Each is the best in their location, reflecting their individual 'place' and style. Each hotel is visited and reviewed by Luxury Explorer to ensure reality lives up to the promise, which, as many travellers know, is not always the case.
