April 2007 - A presentation ceremony of the highest award from the Seven Stars and Stripes organisation - worldwide organisation for hospitality industry recognition - was hosted by Grand Hotel Europe. The award was presented to Thomas Noll, the hotel's General Manager, and by Thorsten Buehrmann, president of the Seven Stars and Stripes organisation, in the presence of the hotel's staff and management.
This is the third time Grand Hotel Europe receives this honour, thus confirming the title conferred in 2005 and 2006. The Grand Hotel Europe's executive chef, Dominique Ferchaud, received an award for outstanding achievements in culinary skills. Dominique Ferchaud is the only member of 'Maitres Cuisiniers de France' (the Association of French Chefs) in Russia.

World Level Perfection – 7 Stars and Stripes;
Society – 6 Stars and Stripes;
Extraordinaire – 5 Stars and Stripes;
Merit – 4 Stars and Stripes
Hotels and restaurants awarded with a minimum of 4 Stars and Stripes are also included in the ‘American Dream List’.
Every year the hotels awarded with this honour must confirm their suitability for the award and experts from Seven Stars and Stripes aim to constantly check the high level of service in chosen hotels.
