CHARLESTON PLACE : Top 100 “The Best in the World” Hotel Receives Accolades from Readers of Luxury Magazine 

CHARLESTON, SC – October 20, 2006 –Charleston Place has been named as one of the best places to stay in North America by the discriminating readers of Condé Nast Traveler Magazine. 

In the November 2006 issue of Condé Nast Traveler the results of the magazine’s annual readers’ pole were published. “Our polling is like giant radar that picks up and makes salient the emergence of notable places, properties, and travel services all over the world,” said Editor in Chief, Kara Glowczekska.  For the 13th year in a row, Charleston Place ranked as one of the top 100 Mainland US hotels.  The hotel ranked above such notable properties as Lodge at Torrey Pines (La Jolla), Hotel Bel-Air (Los Angeles) and several Ritz Carlton properties.
