BANQUETS

Banquet Houseperson
Candidate will be responsible for setting and maintaining meeting rooms and service areas.  Must have the ability to lift and roll heavy equipment and push/pull a minimum of 20lbs.  Must be customer service oriented.  Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.  Valid SC Driver’s License and minimum 21 years of age required. 

Banquet Server (Part Time)
Candidate will assist guest in all types of banquet functions. Must have an enthusiastic personality!  Must have prior food service experience.  Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.

BOUTIQUE

Sales Associate (Part Time)
Successful candidate will work in the Orient express Signature Boutique located inside the Charleston Place Hotel.  Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.  Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.

CHARLESTON GRILL

Server
Responsible for taking guest food and beverage order and serving them in a courteous and efficient manner.  Up-sell at all times.  Maintain station set-up and complete all assigned duties.  Previous food and beverage knowledge required.

CLUB LOUNGE

Club Lounge Supervisor
The qualified candidate will possess strong customer service, communication skills and Food and Beverage knowledge. Previous supervisor experience preferred. Must be able to work am or pm shifts and weekends and holidays.

CULINARY

Banquet Cook
Successful candidate must have the ability to provide and maintain high quality standards and procedures when preparing all banquets food.  Two years previous experience preferred.

Banquet Sous Chef
Candidate must have the ability to execute all areas of the kitchen.  Must have the ability to supervise and execute all meal periods, work closely with Chef on food quality, cost, payroll and implement new menus.  Must have a 2-year culinary degree. 

ENGINEERING

Duty Engineer
Will respond to and address room calls involving room repair, maintenance, or replacement of all guest room systems.  Assist other staff as directed by Engineering Management Team.  Responsible for daily activities and utility meter reading.  Maintenance experience a plus!

PM Technician
Successful candidate must have a working knowledge of all aspects of hotel maintenance and equipment.  Must be able to perform basic to intermediate preventative maintenance tasks and repairs.  Must be able to prioritize and change tasks on a regular basis.  Knowledge of kitchen equipment and HVAC preferred.  Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.

HOUSEKEEPING

Guest Room Attendant
Candidates must have the ability to clean up to 15 guest rooms per day, meeting inspection criteria of Charleston Place Hotel. Must be comfortable interacting with guests and maintain a clean, neat appearance. Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.  Lifting is required.

Team Leader
Candidate will inspect rooms, direct the work of other housekeeping associates and must be comfortable interacting with guests.  Must have the ability to clean guest rooms within Charleston Place Hotel standards.  Must be flexible to work weekends and holidays.

PALMETTO CAFE

Hostperson (Part Time)
Successful candidate must ensure that all guests are seated in a friendly and courteous manner using the appropriate procedures in accordance with five diamond level of service.

Server (Part Time)
Candidate will be responsible for taking guest food and beverage orders and serving them in a courteous and efficient manner, maintain station set-up and complete any and all assigned duties. Food and beverage knowledge required.  Must be flexible to work all shifts to include weekends and holidays.

PASTRY

Pastry Cook
Candidate will produce pastries and desserts for restaurants, banquets and all other hotel outlets. Room for creativity.  Must be able to work weekends, & holidays.  Experience required: one or more years of experience as a pastry cook or Pastry Arts degree.

REGIONAL MARKETING

e-Marketing Assistant
Successful candidate will be responsible for supporting e-marketing activities for Orient-Express Hotels, Trains and Cruises, North America.  Will work with the e-Marketing Manager to develop and execute e-marketing programs.  Experience with any of the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Acrobat, Dreamweaver) preferred.

ROOM SERVICE

Room Service Server
(Full-Time AM and Part-Time Overnight shifts available) Responsible for providing restaurant service to guest rooms in a timely and efficient manner.  Must be courteous and customer service oriented.  Previous server experience required.

Room Service Refreshment Attendant (Part Time)
Responsible for refreshing guest room snack baskets and break down and set up of tables as business requires.  Must have experience working in a 5-star environment. 

STEWARDING

Stewarding Supervisor
Candidate will ensure high quality of sanitation and cleanliness of all food and beverage equipment, the coordination of daily functions such as; ware washing and other no-food functions. Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays. Heavy lifting is required!  Valid SC Driver’s License and minimum 21 years of age required.

Steward
Candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment and food required for functions are available at the scheduled time. Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays. Heavy lifting is required.

THOROUGHBRED CLUB

Server
Responsible for taking guests food and beverage orders and serving them in a courteous and efficient manner. Prior serving experience required.  Knowledge of and experience with cocktail serving necessary.  Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.  Previous customer service experience required.
