Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival
Fly from London Heathrow to Bangkok with British Airways/Qantas.


Days 2, 3 & 4: Bangkok
Arrive in Bangkok and transfer to your hotel for three nights.Thailand’s capital city offers spectacular temples, colourful markets and a superb range of restaurants serving the very best in Thai cuisine. Optional tours, such as a visit to the Grand Palace, or Jim Thomson’s House—the home of Thai silk—are available. Please contact us for details.


Days 5: Eastern & Oriental Express
Depart early evening on the Eastern & Oriental Express for the three-night journey to Singapore (Pullman Superior).


Day 6: Eastern & Oriental Express
Awake early to experience crossing the Tham Kasse viaduct before arriving in Kanchanaburi. Enjoy a boat ride on the River Kwai, then rejoin the train for lunch and dinner. Overnight on board


Day 7: Eastern & Oriental Express
Arrive in Butterworth late morning for a visit to Georgetown, the capital of Penang. Experience a trishaw ride before a typical Malaysian lunch at the colonial "Eastern & Oriental Hotel". Dinner and overnight on board the Eastern & Oriental Express train.


Days 8 & 9: Singapore
Arrive in Singapore, where you stay for two nights.This contemporary city with its spectacular buildings is enhanced by touches of its colonial past. There is much to see and do—beautiful botanical gardens, museums, galleries and, of course, shopping—which is practically a national pastime.


Days 10 & 11: Departure
Return to London, arriving at Heathrow on Day 11.
