Dinner at the Bada Mahal
Bada mahal is an old hunting lodge of the Maharana of Udaipur situated within the periphery of the resort sharing its border with the wildlife conservatory and surrounded by lush green gardens. The Mewari domes of The Oberoi Udaivilas bestow a dramatic effect on the skyline which forms the view from this lodge.
An evening can be organized with cocktails and live kebabs. The venue is adorned with torches to welcome the guests, flags, marigold flowers and candles. Traditional low seating in Indian style adds to the fervor and ambience. Numerous entertainment options can be selected from just light classical instrumental music to ghazals, qawalis and Rajasthani folk dance and music.
Bada Mahal accommodates a maximum of 16 guests for dinner and 24 guests for standing cocktails.
The Promenade
Located on the shore of the Lake Pichola, The Promenade is an elevated platform, exclusive for cocktail evenings. This overlooks the charming lake and the grand palaces of this Mewari capital. Undoubtedly, one of the most picturesque locations in the hotel. The domes and gardens of The Oberoi, Udaivilas form the backdrop of this venue.
To make it, yet richer and add value to the ambiance, it is set up with candles, flowers and muted lighting. A two-piece Indian classical instrumental band plays traditional music at the venue.
The Promenade accommodates a maximum of 45 guests for cocktails and snacks.
Both the above venues are open air and hence the availability is subject to weather conditions.
