The prestigious and well known presentation of the "Conde Nast Traveler Award 2006", which includes the best hotels in the world as well as the best tourist destinations of the planet, were made known recently. 

The Hotel Monasterio occupies position No.1 among the 15 best hotels in South America, and then, in position No.10, appears the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge ( Both located in Cusco), and in place No. 11 among the best hotels in the Sub-Continent figures the Miraflores Park Hotel located in Miraflores, Lima. 

In addition, in its exclusive list of the "Best of the Best 2006" ( Conde Nast Travel Top 100) which includes the 100 best hotels in the world, the Hotel Monasterio also appears in position No.78. This, without doubt, places our country in a preferential position in such a way that the magazine itself has included the City of Cusco as the best city in the Americas to visit. Cusco appears in position No.7 among the most attractive cities in the world, ahead of Rio de Janeiro. 

These awards are added to those already received in previous years by this and other prestigious magazines with worldwide circulation.
