To celebrate the Millennium, the Hôtel de la Cité completed an extensive restoration of its historic wine cellar, built in the underlying bedrock. 

Brought back to its original turn-of-the-century splendour, the cellar, with its arched brick ceilings, terracotta floors and bottle-lined oak panelling now provides an ideal decor for private wine-tastings or medieval candlelit dinners for up to ten guests.
