La Colombe
Scot Kirton has introduced new dishes to La
Colombe’s menu:
• Pan fried Kingklip, Asian Lentil Salad, Cashewnut Puree, Coconut

Constantia Uitsig Restaurant
Chef Clayton Bell promises culinary delight with dishes from his
‘Specials Board’. These specials are available for a limited time and
include dishes like Beef Carpaccio with Avocdo, Finnochio alla Parmigiana, Mushroom
Ravioli, Roasted Sweet and Sour Quail, Grilled Crayfish with Pommes
Frittes, Banana Sticky Toffee Pudding, Vanilla Panna Cotta with Rum Berries.

On visiting River Café, one can expect to find all
the River Café classics, as well as new dishes on the menu.

Winter Menus will once again be available from 1st
May 2012.
River Café:
• Two-course lunch from our daily specials for R99, including tea
or coffee.
• Three-course lunch from our daily specials for R119, including
tea or coffee.
• Tea or coffee and a muffin/scone/croissant/cake of the day (between 15h00 and 16h30) for R35.
The annual closure of River Café will be from 13th
August 2012 until 4th September 2012.
Lunch: Three-course menu for R240.
(Available until 15th November 2012).
Dinner: Five-course menu with wine
pairing R395, and R310 without wine.
(Available until 31st of October 2012).
The annual closure of La Colombe will be from 17th
May 2012 until 15th June 2012.

Wine Farm
The 2012 harvest is nearing completion with only Cabernet
Sauvignon and Red Hannepoot left to be harvested. Most of the wines in the
cellar have completed fermentation and the white wines are showing impressive
complexity and character. Winemaker and Viticulturist André Rousseau, has decided
to produce 10 barrels of Constantia Uitsig’s Wooded Chardonnay Reserve. The
last vintage of Wooded Chardonnay was made in 2004. Following ever increasing
popular demand for the wine, André has decided to produce a limited quantity of
approximately 2500 bottles. The Wooded Chardonnay should be ready for release
in April 2013.
Wine Shop
For the month of April 2012, patrons dining at River Café will
receive 10% discount on all wine purchases made at the Wine Shop at Constantia

Constantia Food & Wine Festival
The Constantia Food and Wine Festival will be held from the 4th – 6th May 2012 on the cricket oval of Constantia Uitsig. Tickets to the event are available for purchase at the Wine Shop at Constantia Uitsig at R120 each. Patrons purchasing tickets at the Wine Shop at Constantia Uitsig will be entered into a lucky draw which includes prizes such as dinner at La Colombe, Hotel accommodation at Constantia Uitsig Hotel, Spa Treatments from Constantia Uitsig Spa and various wine hampers from Constantia Uitsig Wines.
