Handicrafts in Ravello

Ceramics 

Pride of the local handicrafts is undoubtedly the ceramic production, so typical of the Amalfi coast. Amphorae, vases, medallions, trays, objects and decorative panels reproduce subjects of every kind: mythical characters, folklore motifs, Arabian-style decorations which are ever-present in the architecture of this zone, and rigorous geometric forms.

This ancient tradition knows very well how to make use of the collaboration of the best contemporary artists and designers, searching for technical and chromatic innovation that never ceases to produce new fruits.

Coral  

Ravello is land of important and ancient traditional handicrafts. There is the Camo Coral Museum that collects coral objects, cameos, engraved mother-of-pearl and shells, dating from Roman times up to last century. 

Coral is still worked today by artisans who, following ancient and traditional techniques, produced splendid and refined objects.
