windsurf hut
One of the best ways to view the island and its spectacular beach is to windsurf. The Windsurf Hut, located on the north-east side of the island, offers complimentary lessons. For experienced windsurfers, the Windsurf Hut offers a range of slalom boards together with wave and slalom sails from Neil Pryde.
lagoon retreat
Located next to the Windsurf Hut under a canopy of trees, the sand-floored Lagoon Retreat is fitted with a shower, hammock, reclining lounge chairs and beach umbrella.
plant nursery
On the way to the Windsurf Hut and Lagoon Retreat is a plant nursery that grows some of the vegetables, herbs and spices that are used in the resort's kitchen. Right beside it orchids are nurtured before being set up in the restaurants and casitas.
dive shop
Seven square kilometres of pristine reef surrounds Pamalican Island 50 to 300m offshore, making it an ideal place for both novice and experienced divers. Amanpulo's Dive Shop offers programmes sanctioned by the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI), with dive programmes and courses ranging from introductory to advanced open-water diving.
sulu view
Located on the hill overlooking the eastern part of the island, Sulu View is a stunning place to enjoy the magnificient azure waters of the Sulu Sea in the morning light. A favourite venue for light breakfast after a nature walk, it is also great for a picnic lunch or an intimate dinner.
kawayan bar
Spend the day lounging or basking under the sun while your personal bartender prepares your favourite cocktails. Kawayan Bar is a bamboo platform-like raft afloat the magnificient blue waters of Sulu Sea. A special place for picnic lunch or a private dinner, it is also ideal for an intimate wedding reception.
shigerino's place
A hideway on a hill, Shigerino's Place offers a spectacular view of the sunset as the last glimpse of light softly embraces the island's vegetation and the sea, perfect for sunset cocktails followed by a romantic dinner.
gary's nest
Located at the end of the pier on top of a rock, Gary's Nest is suitable for private barbecues. Guests will be driven to the pier which is fronted by a torch-lit road. A romantic set-up and sunset with a view of the entire island await at the top of the stone stairs.
island cave
An additional venue for private dinners, the limestone Island Cave is situated next to the Beach Sala.
picnic grove
In addition to being a venue for private picnics, the Picnic Grove is also where the Pamalican Barbecue, a sumptuous buffet featuring a delectable roasted pig on a spit and a variety of fresh seafood, is held on occasions. This special enclave amidst the bushes and trees has a short pathway that leads to the beach where an island chill-out awaits, with lounge beds and bonfire, complete with after-dinner drinks and a local harp musician.
the pier
The Pier is a very convenient, and a surprisingly beautiful site for diving and snorkelling. Divers can go right off the end of the pier and explore the rock formation underwater and see an abundance of interesting fish and other marine life including the big-eye and blue-spotted stingrays. The Pier can also be the venue for a grand wedding ceremony.
grotto
For spiritual respite, the Grotto is tucked away on the northern part of the island, near the Pier. The sounds of waves and chirping of the birds make this place conducive to meditation. Sunday Mass is celebrated here once a month.
jogging trail
Pamalican Island offers a number of jogging and walking trails that meander around the island, cutting across lush vegetation and roving along the shores. Guests have the option of a short or long distance jogging, with or without a guide.
private dining venues
Private picnics and barbecues may be organized at Lagoon Sala, Shark’s Point Sala and the floating Kawayan Bar. Guests can also take picnic baskets on an island hopping trip or on a visit to the Sandbar. Picnic baskets may also be delivered to guest casitas. Other special venues for a barbecue are the guest casita beachfront, Gary’s Nest and Island Cave. Private dining in a guest casita is available 24 hours.

Bicycles are available to explore the island.
