Overview

The breathtaking Villa di Renai allows guests to see Tuscany at its most idyllic. The views over the rolling Italian countryside are second to none and the villa is conveniently located outside a charming town. There is much opportunity to explore the intricate maze of country lanes and the magnificent city of Florence is no more than a 40 minute drive away. The area is full of idyllic villages to explore; San Casciano in Val di Pesa and San Gimignano are popular and accessible within 15 - 25 minutes.

The family members of the Florentine dynasty who own this property took great care in its restoration some four years ago and certainly their impeccable Italian taste is obvious throughout this villa. The restoration also involved a certain degree of modernisation while simultaneously maintaining the original architectural features.

The beautiful paved courtyard of Villa di Renai is found at the heart of this magnificent property and can be reached by a short drive on an dirt road. Villa di Renai is steeped in history and your first glance will allow you to take in the 11th Century Torre, the 13th Century chapel and the villa itself which dates from the 16th Century.

Old cotta bricks reach from the courtyard to a front dining terrace set beside the Limonaia, with breathtaking views across the countryside. On the terrace there are two glass-topped iron tables seating 12 comfortably for dining al fresco. A large white umbrella has been added to protect from the heat of the midday sun. The central lawn with an extraordinary magnolia tree overlooks the pool terrace below and countryside beyond.
