Overview

As well as having a charming location in the beautiful Tuscan village of Cetona, Villa la Rocca is steeped in history with parts of the property dating back as far as the Etruscans. The stunning amphitheater found at the top of the drive to the villa now serves as an outdoor reception area and is testament to the fascinating heritage of Villa la Rocca. Over the years the villa has served as a Lombard stronghold and a distinctive tower was added as the defining feature of this property's original architecture.

The owners of the estate have sought to preserve its magnificent features and furthermore add modern amenities to provide a first-class holiday retreat. The interiors of the villa have been maintained to very high standards in the style of the well-bred upper-classes; beautiful custom drapery of silk, bed sheets and towels from Pratesi, heirloom antiques with beautiful lines and smooth finishes. Custom-made damask table cloths are super wide and cut to the curve of the table - and even still they arrive without a crease and get whisked away and replaced to ensure they are fresh. The bedrooms and bathrooms are each distinctive and gracious.

Your holiday at Villa La Rocca can be as active or as languid as you wish but there is certainly not a shortage of activities to fill your time with. Everything from hot air ballooning to wine tasting is available to do and there are a plethora of fine restaurants in the vicinity which can be reached either on foot or by car. The shopping is also noteworthy and the village of Cetona has several boutiques or there is a secret outlet on a private estate where guests can enjoy some retail therapy.
