Overview

Villa Maria Taglioni and next door Villa Maria Serena were restored in the nineteenth century by the celebrated ballet dancer Maria Taglioni and have welcomed such esteemed guests as Bellini, Rossini, Franz Lizst and Riccordi.

Together, the two villas can accommodate 22 guests in a refined atmosphere on the western shore of Lake Como in an enclosed private park, the only such estate on the lake.

This fully-staffed property has direct access to the pleasures of Lake Como; a private boat dock and a swimming platform can be reached by steps from the garden. A seaplane can whisk you to St. Moritz in 20 minutes. Neighboring Torno, with its charming harbor dominated by an impressive church, has a wonderful waterside restaurant.

The estate's garden is a melange of towering magnolias, rare cypresses, thriving camellias and azaleas, and thick laurel. The stunning pool curves into the hillside, with a waterfall at one end. A casual outdoor living room has been created under a copper beech tree for refuge from the sun and alfresco dining.
