Overview

The history of Torre d'Olivo is truly fascinating, the tower itself was originally a small hamlet dating back as far as the tenth century. Despite the beauty of this property it ended up being more or less deserted for some four hundred years. The current owners of Torre d'Olivo have established this villa as one of the most luxurious in the Tuscan region through their appreciation of the need for both privacy and authenticity in an Italian holiday retreat. It is not difficult to recognise the attention to detail throughout the property and the modern amenities such as the private pool, tennis court, and air-conditioning that make this property a true Tuscan Jewel.

The property comprises some 14 hectares, an entire wooded hillside in the Montagnola - Senese hills. This is the area between Florence and Siena along the via Francagena, or pilgrim's path, to Rome. Fortunately for those on vacation to experience the stirring beauty of Tuscany, the area is virtually unblemished by modern structures. This setting affords exceptional views and the delight of really lovely drives through the hills to explore the countryside.

Torre d'Olivo is well-suited to larger groups of friends and extended families who want to relax and enjoy the beauty and tranquility of this private retreat. This spacious property allows guests to spread out and enjoy the variety of open spaces while still being able to come together en masse of an evening. Each of the three 'homes' has private outdoor areas and all can be used as independent homes in that they all have their own fully equipped kitchen, sitting rooms and electronic facilities.
