Overview

Podere La Vetrichina is a stylishly restored eighteenth century homestead surrounded by fragrant, flowering shrubs and potted flowers. It's the epitome of an elegant Italian country house and featured on the cover of Architectural Digest magazine. The white walls, cassettone ceilings and hardwood floors are complemented by the owner's collection of art and antiques. All six bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms.

The villa sits at the top of a hill with broad views of lush woodland and the picture-perfect hill town of San Casciano dei Bagni, noted for its luxury spa and excellent restaurant. This is an unspoiled part of Italy that is gradually being discovered for its quiet beauty and ideal location between Rome and Florence. The villa is perfect for day-trips to Montalcino, Montepulciano and Siena, or for simply relaxing around the stunning heated pool. Podere La Vetrichina provides ample space for 12; the nearby Villinio can be hired to accommodate an extra four people.
