Overview

Podere I Troscioni oozes with character thanks to the owner's skilful combination of exotic and traditional materials. Fabrics from India and objects from Tunisia are offset by antique furniture and locally quarried cotta. A lane of sculptural cypress trees and young oaks leads up to the honey-coloured stone facade and the 16the Century tower.

The villa's lofty position allows for exceptional views in every direction; you can clearly see Monte Amiata, Monte Cetona and Radicofani with its distinctive Medieval tower. It's only five minutes to the village of Sarteano and the excellent Etruscan museum in Chiusi is not much further.

The southern facade is marked by a romantic triangular pergola, hung with sweet red grapes. Below, a series of stone walls and narrow terraces lead to the soccer field, trimmed with woods. The lovely stone-lined pool sits on a rise above the house with a bamboo pergola and white canvas umbrella.
